DC Lottery Expands Game Offerings with Lotto America® Launch
Game Provides Players an Affordable Opportunity to Win Millions
WASHINGTON, D.C.- DC Lottery has recently expanded its portfolio to include the exciting multi-state lottery game, Lotto America®. This game features a rolling jackpot that starts at $2 million and increases with each drawing until it is won. Each play costs $1, providing an affordable opportunity for players to win millions. Additionally, players can add the All Star Bonus® option for an extra $1 for a chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, or 5 times.
How Lotto America Works
- To play Lotto America, the player chooses five numbers between 1 and 52, plus one Star Ball® number between 1 and 10, or numbers can be chosen randomly using the Quick Pick option.
- Lotto America drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at approximately 10:15 pm Eastern Time. The drawings are conducted by the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL).
- There are nine ways to win a prize. To win the jackpot prize, players must match all six winning numbers. The jackpot can be paid as an annuity with 30 graduated payments over 29 years or as a one-time lump sum payment.
- Other cash prizes range from $20,000 to $2 before the multiplier. With the All Star Bonus option, prizes can go up to $100,000.
Lotto America tickets can be purchased at any DC Lottery retailer or online via the iLottery platform. Players can also download the Official DC Lottery App on Android and iOS devices to purchase tickets.
Winning numbers are available on dclottery.com and dcilottery.com, on the Official DC Lottery mobile app, and via the Lot-Line at 202-678-3333.
Lotto America is currently available in 16 jurisdictions nationwide, including the District of Columbia.
