D.C. Lottery Player Parlays $20 Prize Into $1,000 Win
Paul Kesner is the D.C. Lottery's July 2010 District of Columbia Black Second Chance Drawing. He won a $1,000 gift card with money he had initially won by playing other D.C. Lottery games. "I had won $20 or $21 bucks with POWERBALL® and Mega Millions®, so I decided to get a Black ticket," said Kesner. It turned out that he won another $20, so he bought another Black ticket. This time, he didn't win a cash prize; however, he was interested in the Second Chance Drawing, where he could potentially win a $1,000 gift card, or the grand prize of a trip for two to Las Vegas. "I liked that I could enter the Second Chance Drawing online," he said. "It was very easy." What's he going to do with his prize? "I'm thinking about buying a new iPhone and saving the rest for presents."
