His demeanor was calm, pleasant; he had just one complaint: he wished he had put more money on the ticket to ensure a larger payout. Fast forward one week, and Tefera is back at the D.C. Lottery's Claim Center—still calm, still pleasant—this time, with three more winning tickets valued at over $25,000 each. The local business owner plays number combinations of his choosing and says "I play numbers related to loved ones and those I feel strongly about."
