July 17 – July 23 is National Lottery Week! So here at DC Lottery, we’re celebrating—along with lotteries across the United States and Canada.

July 19 – Where the Money Goes – Did you know that DC Lottery has transferred more than $2.2 billion to the DC General fund? This provides critical funding to support education, recreation and parks, public safety, housing, and senior and child services. (And that’s not to mention DC Lottery’s charitable contributions and gaming programs, retailer commisions for local businesses...and prizes in players’ pockets!)
July 20 – Winner Awareness – We love to say #LotsOfPeopleWin...because they do! We pay out more than 50% of annual sales in prize money—more than $4.2 billion—to DC Lottery players.
