How to Claim Coupons

DC Lottery recently identified an issue with the DC 3, DC 4, and DC 5 mid-day and evening drawings conducted between March 31, 2026, and April 21, 2026. We deeply regret that this happened and want to make it right! To that end, we are providing coupons to 'affected' players that can be redeemed at any DC Lottery retail location. 

Affected players are those who: 

  • Purchased tickets for the DC 3, DC 4, and/or DC 5 mid-day or evening drawings conducted between March 31, 2026, and April 21, 2026.
  • Had two or more of the same numbers in a play (e.g., 111, 7765, 5552, 89843, etc.). 

Players can claim their coupons in one of two ways: 

IN PERSON: Beginning on May 18, 2026, visit DC Lottery's headquarters, 2235 Shannon Place, SE, Washington, DC 20020. The Prize Center is open Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for coupon claims. 

Players should bring their affected tickets, and Lottery staff will walk them through the coupon exchange process. To expedite the visit, players can complete a Coupon Application Form in advance and bring it with them to DC Lottery headquarters. Players will receive coupons equal to the value of their affected play, plus a $1 bonus coupon that can be used for the DC Numbers 2nd Chance contest.

Please note: If the affected ticket has been lost, destroyed, or is otherwise unavailable, players must use a different claim form, which can be found HERE. Players without their affected ticket will receive a $1 bonus coupon that can be used for the DC Numbers 2nd Chance contest.

BY MAIL: Players can mail their affected tickets and a completed Coupon Application Form to the DC Lottery, 2235 Shannon Place, SE, Washington, DC 20020. Players will receive coupons equal to the value of their affected play by mail, plus a $1 bonus coupon that can be used for the DC Numbers 2nd Chance contest. 

Please note: If the affected ticket has been lost, destroyed, or is otherwise unavailable, players must use a different claim form, which can be found HERE. Players without their affected ticket will receive a $1 bonus coupon by mail that can be used for the DC Numbers 2nd Chance contest.

The coupon exchange process will run from May 18, 2026, to October 19, 2026.
