Powerball® Jackpot Rolls to $572 Million
WASHINGTON, D.C.— Powerball is gaining momentum, again! Fresh off a record-setting $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot that hit less than three months ago, the Powerball jackpot for the Jan. 28 drawing is estimated to be $572 million ($308.9 million cash).
It was also just thirteen days ago that a ticket sold in Maine hit the $1.3 billion Mega Millions jackpot.
Here’s everything you need to know about this latest jackpot:
- Saturday night’s Powerball drawing will be the 30th drawing in this run.
- Powerball was last hit on Nov. 19, 2022, by a ticket in Kansas that won a jackpot worth $92.9 million.
- D.C. is winning; DC Lottery has had $1.38 million in Powerball sales and $167,630 in total prizes won in this two-month Powerball jackpot run alone.
- Powerball tickets can be purchased at all DC Lottery retail locations and online. Powerball tickets are $2 per play. For $1 more, players can add Power Play for an opportunity to increase their winnings.
The deadline to buy tickets for the next Powerball drawing is on Jan. 28 at 9:45 p.m. ET. The drawing is scheduled to occur at 10:59 p.m. ET.
