WASHINGTON, D.C.— Last night’s highly anticipated Super Bowl was met with enthusiasm by sports fans across the District of Columbia, particularly those looking to bet on the game. GambetDC, the District’s sportsbook, delivered a seamless experience as local sport bettors wagered on everything from the spread and how many points were scored to special prop bets on the mobile app, the website and at the 61 GambetDC retail locations throughout the District.

Despite an elevated number of users and high mobile app and website traffic throughout the game, GambetDC reported no technical issues or downtime, allowing fans to easily register for accounts, place bets, deposit and withdraw funds and effortlessly enjoy the game.

“The team worked around the clock in the lead up to Super Bowl Sunday to ensure that our platform was ready to handle what we expected to be a high-volume game with unprecedented demand,” said Jayre Reaves, Director of Marketing and Communications for GambetDC. “We are proud to have delivered a reliable, secure, and enjoyable betting experience for our customers during one of the biggest sporting events of the year.”

For Super Bowl weekend (Feb. 10 – Feb. 12), GambetDC’s handle totaled $956,264.32, with 27,993 bets placed.

In October, GambetDC launched a completely new mobile app experience that provided improved navigation, streamlined registration, and faster log-in. During the Super Bowl, GambetDC saw a surge in downloads, yet the app remained responsive and accessible.

Over the past year, GambetDC has delivered strong financial results, has overperformed on key industry performance metrics, and has unveiled a host of product enhancements. In Fiscal Year 2022, GambetDC had more than 1.9 million wagers placed, equaling $58.3 million in handle, which was an increase of 59% in wagers and 38% in handle compared to Fiscal Year 2021.

With a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, GambetDC is a top choice for sports betting in the nation’s capital.
