Robert Simons of SW, DC occasionally plays the lottery. This time he played DC Powerball going after the $500 million Powerball jackpot. He said the jackpot buzz got to him. And, he won! Robert matched 4 numbers and the Powerball for a $10,000 win! He lives in Southwest and purchased the ticket from Gateway Newsstand, 490 L'Enfant Plaza, SW. He says he likes to go in there in the mornings before work because "the people are nice and they have great blueberry smoothies!" How did he find out? We was making his morning smoothie stop and saw the "$10,000 Powerball ticket sold here!' sign posted by the agent. He checked his ticket and the agent said, pointing to the sign, "That's you!"
