Not Your Typical Reaction
When Elias Tefera discovered he'd won $25,000 with DC-5, his reaction was not typical of our D.C. Lottery winners. The Maryland resident stated that he was "mad the number came out." When asked why, Tefera—who also won $100,000 with DC-4 in 2011—said he'd wished he'd put more money down for a greater return. But, acknowledged that $25,000 was a fine way to start the new year.
