On Her Way to a "Debt Free" Retirement
Doris Fielding, federal employee with 30 years of service, had already set her date of retirement. "I'm retiring in December of this year. My husband is retiring in May. And, now thanks to the D.C. Lottery, we're retiring debt free!" Doris, a Maryland resident, won $100,000 with the D.C. Scratcher "Money Mania." A regular D.C. Lottery player, Doris says when she realized she'd won, her heart was pounding. "I called my husband and told him to pick me up and why. He said: "Be right there!"
