Congratulations to Mr. Charles Young of Washington, DC who won the first of two $25,000 top prizes with the $5 Chocolate scratcher ticket. Mr. Young claimed his 'sweet' win with his wife of 50 years to share the joy. The retired couple says they'll pay some bills and maybe do a little something nice for themselves with their windfall. And, it seems winning runs on both sides of this family. Mrs. Young reports that she enjoyed a recent DC-3 hit! The winning scratcher ticket was purchased at Avondale Coffee, 1909 Michigan Avenue, NE.
