The evening of her win, April Hall checked the DC Lottery website and saw her name. She turned to her husband and said, "I won the lottery!" Her husband told her that he knew already and he was speaking to a neighbor about how she won. "Well, I was the last to know, but I was the winner," she laughed.
The native Washingtonian and former Ballou Knight intends to take her $10,000 win and pamper herself with an updated wardrobe and save the remainder. She's hoping to continue her luck with an invitation to The Big Payback grand finale. "I will be the first to know this time, if I'm invited," she chuckled.
