This exciting multi-state game offers jackpots starting at $20 million!
Visit any D.C. Lottery agent throughout the District and pick up a POWERBALL® bet slip.
Choose your own numbers on the bet slip. Select five numbers from 1 through 59, then select one POWERBALL® number from 1 though 39.
Or, let the computer choose your numbers with the Quick Pick option.
Each POWERBALL® wager costs $1.00.
Play up to five wagers on one bet slip.
Purchase your POWERBALL® tickets in advance for 1,2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18, and 20 consecutive draws.
You must purchase your POWERBALL® ticket by 9 p.m. on the day of the drawing.
Check your tickets carefully. POWERBALL® tickets cannot be canceled.
Power Play
Multiplies prizes of $3 to $200,000 by
2,3,4, or 5!
Power Play costs an additional $1 for each $1 bet.
At the end of each POWERBALL® drawing, a Power Play number between 2 and 5 is randomly selected.
If you win a POWERBALL® prize, your winnings will be multiplied by the Power Play number selected.
To play Power Play, mark YES on the POWERBALL® bet slip or ask your agent for Power Play. Power Play applies to all boards on the bet slip.
Match 5 Bonus Prize Feature
The Match 5 Bonus takes effect only during record jackpots and when there is a jackpot winner.
When the prize money collected exceeds the record advertised prize, the additional prize money will accumulate and be placed in a pool.
The prize money will be divided equally among Match 5 winners.
If a Match 5 winner played Power Play, the amount multiplied will be based on the $200,000 prize. The Bonus Prize will be in addition to the Power Play prize.
