September’s here, summer’s just about over, and the D.C. Lottery is in full session with games, prizes, and winners!
Cookout, Pharaoh’s Fortune, and Money Mania are just a few of the many fun to play D.C. Scratchers debuting in September. With prizes ranging from $1,000 to $100,000, I’m sure you’ll find something that will tickle your fancy. Speaking of tickles, I’m tickled pink about the return of the Pink Panther to the D.C. Lottery’s instant scratcher lineup. Hitting stores this month, players will remember this popular ticket. Well, we’re bringing it back—bigger, better, and with more prizes. This return of the Pink Panther features a top prize of $4,000; more than $460,000 in cash prizes; eight chances to win; and several Second Chance prizes including a trip for two to the Beverly Hills Hotel (a luxury five-star hotel and pink icon) in sunny California and 20 pink gift cards valued at $250 each. Congratulations to recent winners Jerold Allie who won $125,000 with multiple DC 4 winning tickets and Sharon Sweetney who won $100,000 with the 10X Cash instant scratcher. There’s still another top prize out there for this D.C. Scratcher. I also want to congratulate the latest Second Chance drawing winner for the District of Columbia Black ticket’s $1,000 gift card. Another gift card will be awarded this month and every month through April 2011. The final Grand Prize drawing will be awarded in May 2011, where one lucky player will win an exclusive VIP trip for two to Las Vegas with five-star lodging, travel, spending money, and a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon included. Remember to enter your non-winning District of Columbia Black tickets in the Second Chance drawing. The next winner could be you. And, we’re still looking for our first top million-dollar prize winner for the District of Columbia Black ticket.
At the D.C. Lottery, we love to say, “Lots of People Win!” And, from our daily tallies, we know it’s true. So, it’s a puzzle to us when players don’t collect their winnings. Like the $200,000 POWERBALL winner who has yet to come forth or several DC 5 players who have yet to claim their $250 prize from the DC 5 Bonus Coupon drawings. Well, we’ll hold on to it for you—just briefly. While most D.C. Lottery players have up to one calendar year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes, the DC 5 Bonus Coupon wins must be claimed within 30 days of the drawing. So, check your tickets.
