1983 First licensed Bingo game in the District of Columbia,
and D.C. Lucky Numbers is D.C. Lottery’s first terminal game
1986 D.C. Lottery inaugurates Black History Poster
1991 Agency sales top $1 billion
1993 D.C. Powerball’s first jackpot winner
2009 DC 5 is introduced,
and $144 million Powerball winner becomes largest jackpot winner in D.C. Lottery history
2010 District of Columbia Black is agency’s first ticket with $1,000,000 top prize, and D.C. Mega Millions introduced
2012 Total Prizes Awarded--$2.8 billion
Total Transferred to D.C. General Fund--$1.7 billion
Total Raised though Charitable Gaming in support of local nonprofits--$121 million
